Another successful show…

Rochelle was at the NMRA’s ‘Not the Winter Meet’ at Benson this past weekend (26th June). The layout performed well, with only occasional problems caused by one dodgy loco and a few dodgy operators Many thanks to Pete Blake and Alan Crooks for helping me set up and take layout down, and Alan Crooks & Brian Woolven for helping me operate throughout the day. Thanks guys!

Below are the latest photos taken at the show showing the latest board, Caron Street, with its new backscene. Still plenty of work needed on these boards (weathering and detailing), but they are performing well. One slight adjustment to a point needed on suggestion of Alan to allow more switching flexibility.

Benson show back on!

The Benson show, postponed from January, is back on! Another show, Ardenrail, has been cancelled this year, so Benson is taking its place.

Rochelle Intermodal at Dartford Model Railway Exhibition this weekend

Rochelle Intermodal can be seen at the Dartford Model Railway Exhibition this coming Saturday & Sunday (23rd & 24th Jan) in the new 23ft format.

Looking forward to seeing you there – please pop by and introduce yourselves! At present this will be the last time Rochelle Intermodal will be at a show till late Summer (possibly August), so be sure to come have a look.

My next project will be installing the new BLMA signals on the layout and getting the computerised automation finished off, so keep an eye on my website for progress reports.

Benson show postponed…

The Benson NMRA Winter Meet has been postponed till further notice, due to the weather. On Thursday evening Benson was the coldest place in the UK, recording a temperature of -17.7C (0.14F)…so plenty of snow and ice…not really the best conditions for driving vans!

I’ll let you know when the Benson meet has been rescheduled. In the meantime it will allow me to get the local control panels wired in time for the next show on 23rd/24th Jan at Dartford.
